Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Half Moon Collective LLC ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the maRV application and this website.
The short version
maRV is a navigation app. It needs to know where you are in order to give you directions. We designed it to keep that information on your device wherever we can, and we do not sell it, rent it, or use it to advertise to you.
Location information
When you use navigation features, maRV accesses your device's location. Location is used to show your position on the map, to calculate and follow a route, and to provide guidance while you drive.
Route calculation requires sending origin, destination, and vehicle dimension settings to our routing service. We use this data to compute and return your route. We do not build advertising or marketing profiles from it, and we do not sell it.
You can revoke location access at any time in your device's system settings. Navigation features will not work without it.
Information stored on your device
Saved trips, vehicle profile settings, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes them.
Accounts
The maRV app does not require you to create an account, and you do not need to give us your name or email address to use it. Contacting us through this website is separate and voluntary — see below.
When you contact us
If you use a form on this website, we receive what you type into it: your name, your email address, your message, and — on the demo request form — the details you give about your rig and how often you travel. Submissions are delivered to us as email, on our own mail server.
We use that information to reply to you and to keep track of who would like to try maRV when it's ready. We do not sell it, and we won't add you to unrelated marketing. Ask us and we'll delete your message and your details.
The forms also record the submitting IP address briefly, purely to limit automated abuse.
Server logs
Like most internet services, our servers record standard technical information when a request is made, which may include an IP address, timestamp, and the type of request. This is used to operate the service, diagnose faults, and protect against abuse.
Third-party services
maRV relies on external providers for map data, address search, and weather information. When the app requests one of these, that provider necessarily receives the request. Those providers handle data under their own privacy policies.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not serve advertising in the app.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Children
maRV is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Because maRV is designed to keep data on your device and does not use accounts, in most cases the only information we hold about you is whatever you sent us yourself through a form or by email. Contact us using the details below with any request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy at any time. When we do, we will change the effective date shown above and post the revised version on this page. Continued use of maRV after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy, so it is worth checking back from time to time.
